Does your perfect honeymoon destination include lots of heart-pumping adventures? Well, I need to introduce you to the adrenaline-filled paradise of New Zealand. I lived in Sydney in the early 2000s, and New Zealand was one of my favorite locations for getting a few spine-tingling thrills. From bungee jumping to skydiving, you will unearth the adventures through the breathtaking scenery and exhilarating activities that make New Zealand a must-visit destination for adventurous couples.

Bungee Jump in the Spot Where Someone Said, "Hey, Bro, Let's Tie Elastic to my Ankles so I Can Jump Off this Bridge."

For a heart-pounding experience, why not try bungee jumping over New Zealand's spectacular terrains? Imagine the rush of free-falling towards crystal-clear rivers and emerald woods. Feeling weightlessness as you soar by the natural beauty. It is sure to be a moment you'll never forget. Before you ask, no, I didn't leap.

Go for a Stroll Among the Clouds

Ready to take your honeymoon to new heights—literally? This activity that I can personally recommend. The SkyWalk at Auckland's Sky Tower is the ultimate thrill! Suspended 630 feet above the city, you'll step out onto a narrow platform (don't worry, you're harnessed!). Feel the rush and soak up the gorgeous 360-degree views from the sparkling Waitematā Harbour to the rolling hills beyond. Whether you're conquering fears or just flexing your daredevil side together, this is one memory you won't forget!

Hold Hands as You Plummet to Earth

Skydiving is another thrilling adventure to consider for your New Zealand honeymoon. Imagine the rush of jumping out of a plane together and free-falling through the clear blue skies, surrounded by breathtaking views of mountains, lakes, and coastline. The adrenaline and excitement of this daring experience will create unforgettable memories that you both will cherish forever.

Lace Up Your Boots and Hit the Trails

One of the best ways to discover New Zealand is by hiking through its rugged mountains and pristine forests. As you make your way along winding trails, you will have the chance to discover hidden waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, and scenic viewpoints that will take your breath away.

Heli-Skiing the Ultimate Alpine Thrill

Soaring over snow-draped peaks, landing on pristine powder, and cutting your way down remote alpine slopes—all in one of the world's most breathtaking glacier landscapes. Are you ready to drop in? Heli-skiing on Franz Josef Glacier is an adrenaline rush like no other. It isn't your average ski run; it's a wild, backcountry adventure where the only thing between you and the mountain is fresh, untouched snow. I love to ski but have never tried heli-skiing because I would break my neck.

Exploring Ancient Maori Culture and History

To truly understand the essence of New Zealand, it is essential to delve into its ancient Maori culture and history. My family and I spent a day in one of the villages, and it was a transformative experience. The indigenous Maori people have a rich heritage intertwined with the land, and by absorbing yourselves into their traditions, you will gain a deeper appreciation for this unique country.
