We have arrived at Part 3 of my 3 part series on finding the Caribbean Island that best fits your desires. I have not covered every single island out, because many islands are privately owned or not inhabited. The Caribbean has thousands of islands! But here is our quick and dirty guide to finding your perfect match.
Anguilla
Perfect for Luxurious but Low Key and Isolation
Anguilla has sumptuous hotels & villas, so you’ll be able to enjoy the palm-fronted and pristine white beaches in the lap of luxury. Seeing as cruise ships aren’t allowed to dock, there are markedly fewer crowds in Anguilla. Making it a great fit for a honeymoon or romantic break where you can feel that the island is all yours.
Resorts Jessie recommends for Anguilla: Four Seasons Anguilla, CuisinArt Golf and Spa Resort, and Belmond Cap Juluca.
Antigua
Perfect for Beachcombing
With 365 different beaches, Antigua is the beach lovers paradise. Most of the beaches are lined with resorts that range from large to small and modest to lavish. English Harbor offers yacht hi jinks and diverting colonial heritage.
Resorts Jessie recommends for Antigua: Hermitage Bay, Jumby Bay, and Cocobay Resort.
Jamaica
Perfect for Spicy Food and Friend Getaways
Wanting to get away with your close friends for a quick getaway? Jamaica is the answer. Beautiful beaches, all-inclusive resorts at multiple price points, tons to do and the yummy spicy food, all make Jamaica a great choice for quick getaways with your best friends.
Resorts Jessie recommends for Jamaica: GoldenEye, Half Moon, and the Caves.
Grenada
Perfect for Delving into Local Culture
You really can smell nutmeg in the air as soon as you arrive in Grenada. With smaller resorts and fun, welcoming locals, you will feel right at home as you stroll through downtown streets, tasting the local delicacies and chatting with Grenadians.
Resorts Jessie recommends for Grenada: Silversands Grenada, Spice Island Resort, and Sandals Grenada.
Dominica
Perfect for Climbers & Hikers
Lacking the plethora of beaches found elsewhere, Dominica is the region's unspoiled gem with peaks and valleys swathed in the rainforest and accented by waterfalls. If you are looking for a place to get away from the masses so you can, so you can hike, climb and commune with nature, this is the island for you.
Resorts Jessie recommends for Dominica: Secret Bay, Pagua Bay House, and Rosalie Bay Resort.
If you are wondering which Caribbean Island is the best fit for you make sure to read both Part 1 and Part 2 of this series. And you will be able to quickly determine the best option for you.
