It's easy to understand why Paris is considered the most romantic city on Earth. It has lovely streets, iconic landmarks, historic palaces, world-renowned museums, stunning parks, and world-class restaurants. Paris is an essential destination that tickles all the senses; it is the perfect spot to spend your first days of married life. Paris is the kind of city where you feel like a local without trying. It's all about exploration: wander the cobblestoned streets without a plan, and you will stumble on lively markets, relaxed cafés, and centuries-old sites. Paris is one of my top honeymoon sites year after year, and it is home to hundreds of hotels. I have curated a list of the sexiest honeymoon hotels in the city.

Designed to feel like a private home, Esprit Saint Germain lies on the Left Bank in the city's heart. Behind its 18th-century facade, this metropolitan hideaway radiates a refined yet unpretentious ambiance. It is what you imagine a French hotel would look like – intimate and warm and stunning, with genuine loving care put into each of its rooms and lounges. On arrival, you'll be greeted as a friend and feel at home with personalized service. Be sure to stop by the living room – a complimentary drink by the fireplace is always available.

The historic Shangri-La Hotel was once the home of royalty. This modern palace is one of France's finest hotels, and it offers some of the city's best views. Choose a suite, and you will breakfast on your private balcony while taking in breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. Shangri-La has two gourmet restaurants that offer unique dishes. Visit La Bauhinia for a casual menu, or dine on Cantonese food at Shang Palace.

Four restaurants will include a fine-dining, a pastry shop, and an all-day dining venue.

Since opening in 1913, Plaza Athenee celebrities have chosen it to experience Paris's energy in luxury. The hotel offers two distinct decor styles, with Louis XVI and Regency style on the first six floors and art deco on the top floors. Each of the five restaurants and the bar provides an unusual atmosphere, and Chef Alain Ducasse oversees each.
