Romantic islands comprise the Caribbean. But Jamaica is unique. Are you're looking for a mix of perfect beaches, crystal-clear waters, lush landscapes, delicious cuisine, and lively local culture? Then Jamaica will thrill you! There is so much to see and do in Jamaica, much more than I can highlight. But these are my must-do romantic activities in Jamaica.
Bamboo River Rafting
It doesn't get more romantic or authentically Jamaican than floating down the river in the Jamaican jungle on a bamboo raft. Originally the rafts carried crops down the river.
Horseback Ride and Swim
The adventure begins with a horseback ride through Jamaica's gorgeous backcountry. You will explore an 18th-century sugar plantation ruins and hear tales of Jamaica's colorful history during your journey. Then ride into the Caribbean Sea's warmth atop your swimming horse.
Chase Waterfalls
Jamaica is home to many picturesque waterfalls; Dunn's River Falls is the most famous and crowded waterfall. Mayfield Falls offers an unbelievable 21 natural pools and a vast collection of exotic tropical flowers. Somerset Falls lies between Port Antonio and Hope Bay. You will want to skip the main waterfall and dash into Hidden Falls, secreted away in a cave-like grotto.
Reggae Sunset Cruise
Set sail and take in Montego Bay's coastline's views from the best seat in the house aboard the Reggae Sunset Cruise. You can enjoy the water trampolines, inflatable obstacles, and a refreshing 120-foot water slide. As you sail back to port, you can marvel at the stunning sunset while enjoying signature cocktails and dancing your hearts out to Bob Marley.
Off-Road and Secret River Adventure
Hit the open trails on an ATV enjoy the twists and turns of Jamacia's unspoiled backcountry, which leads you to a hidden river. Take a stroll through the crystal clear waters, buried in the lush forest. If you're feeling adventurous, jump into Blue Hole. It will leave you feeling energized and rejuvenated and maybe a little muddy!
Take to the Skies
Get ready for a fun and adventure-filled day 700 ft above sea level. The sky explorer will send you soaring above the treetops providing breathtaking views of the sparkling sea and rainforest below. Then you can climb and swing your way through Anancy's web, which is an obstacle course. Next, zoom down the mountainside aboard our signature bobsled ride. Maybe you will choose to take flight on a zipline? Soaring over treetops and zooming from platform to platform.
Swim with the Dolphins
Treat yourself to an incomparable and iconic swim with the dolphins in a natural lagoon's deep waters. Thrill as these majestic animals pull you along by their dorsal fins or push through the Caribbean Sea's turquoise waters.
Explore the Deep
You don't have to be a SCUBA diver or even a swimmer to experience Jamaica's stunning underwater world. Sea trekking allows you to go 20 feet under the sea. Play with Jamaica's assorted and colorful marine life.
Indulge Yourself
All the resorts in Jamaica offer lovely couples spa treatments. Spend your day unwinding in the sauna or having a couples massage on the beach. It's sure to be a heavenly encounter you'll never forget!
Play in the Sea
Are you staying at a beachfront resort? You can expect superior access to snorkeling, kayaking, diving, paddle boarding, and swimming. Most resorts offer classes to allow you to get your PADI credentials while on your honeymoon. It's worth booking a dive in Jamaica. The standout dive site in Jamaica is Negril Marine Park's Throne Room, an underwater cave, but an aperture accesses it in the coral reef; it is not for the faint of heart.
Take a Dip in Luminous Lagoon
Encircled by mangroves, at night, the Lagoon's waters are home to microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent blue light when agitated. After cruising to the middle, you can jump in and experience this unique natural wonder. Luminous Lagoon is one of the few places to have such a high concentration of these harmless organisms. You will not want to miss it.
It is perfectly acceptable to spend your trip doing nothing! Don't feel guilty if content to lay on the gorgeous sandy beaches all day. But if you're looking to add some excitement, meet the locals, and make memories, you should leave your resort once or twice. These are my must-do honeymoon activities in Jamaica.
