In Italy, Venice reigns supreme, followed closely by the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, and Florence. Greece is all about island life. Santorini is my most popular romantic destination in the Greek Isles, but Mykonos and Crete aren't far behind. Paris tops our French honeymoon request, with the South of France and the Champagne Region taking second and third place.

South America offers many adventurous honeymoon destinations. Peru is by far my top recommendation for couples wanting a thrill. The Sacred Valley calls to many who want to trek to Machu Picchu. Others prefer the vast openness and diversity of Patagonia. If you are looking for a party, look no further than the gorgeous beaches of Rio.

The Maldives are one of my top honeymoon destinations year after year. Couples love the over-the-top luxury and service, and the gorgeous overwater bungalows aren't too bad either. Bali is one of the world's most well-rounded destinations. It offers a unique culture, incredible vistas, and bustling cities. Much like Bali, Japan is diverse. The world's largest city, Tokyo, is buffeted by charming mountain towns, royal palaces, and gorgeous islands.

Seychelles is a chain of islands off the coast of Eastern Africa. Some of the world's most exclusive and luxurious resorts call it home. It caters to couples that require privacy and luxury. South Africa has it all: fun cities, stunning wineries, beautiful beaches, and safaris. In Tanzania, you can see the Big Five in the morning and jet off to a private island in the evening.

I doubt anyone is surprised to see Bora Bora topping the South Pacific honeymoon destinations list. It is one of the most famous and sought-after destinations in the world. Fiji is an undiscovered gem; it's my favorite tropical destination. New Zealand is for anyone who wants a heart-pumping adventure, and Australia is on many bucket lists. Both are incredible, and a honeymoon in either will ensure that all your friends and family are pea-green with envy.

Hawaii tops the American honeymoon destination list by a wide mile; it offers stunning islands, each with a unique personality. The USVI is technically in the Caribbean, but I include them here since you don't need a passport to travel. Alaska is for couples who don't want to lie on a beach somewhere. Alaska is my second most popular cruise destination. My most popular cruise destination is the Mediterranean.
