I have admitted it before, but I am going to reiterate: I love the British Royals. I have haunted the various palaces and the Tower of London. It is no surprise that I was thrilled when Prince William proposed to his college sweetheart. I even asked my very British husband to take me to London for the wedding. He said no. I did stay up late to watch it live so that I wouldn't miss the spectacle. After the stress of planning the perfect royal wedding, the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge jetted off sensational Seychelles for their honeymoon. You can honeymoon like Will and Kate at North Island Seychelles.

Overview of North Island Seychelles

Have you ever wanted to run away from your everyday troubles? Perhaps you would like to escape to a private island paradise far from the maddening crowds? The resort allows you to set foot on the private island without leaving a footprint – except on its magnificent beaches. The secret hideaway is a refuge of sustainability and romance. North Island only has 11 thatched-roof villas designed from regionally harvested timbers and stone; driftwood, granite, and coral. The modern elements create a rustic elegance that's organic.

You will have a personal attendant who uses your likes and dislikes to individualize your trip. The only rules on the Island are the ones you make yourself: your schedule is as full as you wish it to be. Your assistant will make suggestions for spending your days so that you maximize every second of your journey. At North Island, you can do as little or as much as you desire – sunrise yoga, scuba diving, or guided hikes with a conservationist. North Island features in my Sexiest Honeymoon Resorts in Seychelles.

Accommodations at North Island Seychelles

North Island only has eleven private guest villas; each provides an unparalleled exclusivity and indulgence. The bungalows balance luxury and simplicity, and they are the epitome of barefoot luxury. Your sumptuous sanctuary will feel like your home away from home.

North Island features palatial villas (the word 'mansion' is more accurate) because the smallest villa is 4,890 square feet. The presidential bungalows are some of the largest accommodations in the world. The architects raised the floors 3 feet off the ground to take advantage of cooling island breezes. The villas feature two bedrooms: an incredibly spacious master bedroom and a second bedroom that can double as a study. You will find an open-sided living room, which allows you to be both outside and inside at the same time. The adjoining kitchenette is stocked based on your desires and comes with the best minibar in the world. A small outdoor plunge pool with a Bali bed and a substantial deck float above your garden. The bathroom is an insanely beautiful and has indoor and outdoor components; they have the dimensions and feel of an ultraluxe bathhouse. It is not an exaggeration to say that, the villas at North Island rival even the best resorts in the world.

One bungalow, Villa 11, differs from the other ten villas. The design accommodates the incline along the northern side of Anse d'Est Beach; Villa 11 is a resort within itself. It has a tremendous amount of space, measuring 8,072 square feet. Villa levels cascade down toward the granite boulders on the beach. It's the ultimate beach villa for honeymooners, and many consider Villa 11 to be the best beach villa in the world. It's undoubtedly one of the most luxurious.

Dining at North Island Seychelles

North Island is all-inclusive. The rate includes all meals, drinks, and cocktails, but reserve wines are not part of the package. The dining at North Island is superb. North Island offers an unparalleled personalization, especially with the culinary experience. Michelin Starred Chef, Akira Back, designs the daily menu according to the latest harvest with particular consideration for your favorite meals and dietary requirements.

A short walk from the main dining room lies the spectacular wine cellar. It houses the most comprehensive collection of fine wines in the Indian Ocean. Each bottle was carefully selected by a sommelier to complement the flavors of the resort's distinctive cuisine.

The dining venues on the Island lend themselves to a variety of culinary styles to fit your mood. The Piazza Bar & Lounge offers gracious candlelit, private dining. The gentle lapping of the waves on the shore setting the scene for a romantic evening. Sunset Beach serves up pizza, salads, and barbecue. Share delicious bites as you watch the sunset and linger over a cocktail.

The in-villa dining experience allows you to relax in your villa and enjoy yummy food. Enjoy the assorted options within your pantry or the home-style menu. Get Pampered at the Spa

The magnificent spa overlooks on a rocky outcrop above the pool and turquoise ocean waters. The massage therapists use natural herbal ingredients from the island. The treatments soothe away the stresses of travel and allow you to slip effortlessly into island mode.

Get Active

The all-inclusive package includes SCUBA, kayaking, biking (each villa comes with bikes for both adults and children), fishing, laundry and Wi-Fi, and the use of an island golf cart to get around the grounds.

The staff delight in creating special moments for couples and ensuring that your every dream becomes a reality. Picnics on the beach, private sailing adventures, romantic bike rides, no romantic experience is out of bounds.

Get Some Vitamin D

The island's primary attraction is the phenomenal beaches, which are among the most beautiful in the world. The sand is incredibly soft and fluffy. The main beach, Anse d'Est Beach, is a band of sparkling sand that runs the length of the sunrise side of the island. All villas and hotel facilities snuggle discreetly in the tree-line of Anse d'Est. On the west side of the island lies two magnificent beaches: Sunset Beach to the north and Honeymoon Beach to the south. Honeymoon Beach is one of the planet's most romantic beaches, thanks to a secluded location in the boulders' curve.

Make a New Friend

The island is home to giant Aldabra tortoises. They congregate along sandy paths crisscrossing the property. The island's most famous tortoise is Brutus; he is at least 160 years old and weighs approximately 450 lbs. The tortoises love scratches under their chins, and they love to play with guests, especially guests who bring food.
