Spring simply is the best. The weather is gorgeous, and most people are thrilled to pack their sweaters. In time, too, many of us have run out of things to binge on Netflix. (You can always watch Bridgerton again come next winter.) Here are dates to help you reconnect this Spring.
Romantic Picnic
Steal a date straight from your favorite rom-com. Pack strawberries & cream, champagne, and an iPhone speaker (you will want a soundtrack, of course), and spend the day soaking up some Vitamin D.
Food Truck Night
Are you looking for a modern twist on the typical "dinner and a movie" date? Food trucks are more casual than a sit-down restaurant but give you more time together than a coffee date would. As a bonus, you won't have to wait for a table; food trucks are delicious.
Spring Training
Are you lucky enough to live near a spring training facility? If yes, buy tickets and go! You can also wait for baseball season to start officially. Either way, nothing is more fun than enjoying America's favorite pastime in person. With a gun to my head, I wouldn't watch baseball on TV, but I love going to watch live.
Play Rock, Paper, Scissors
Let the luck of the draw determine your next date night. Get in your car and play rock, paper, scissors. The winner picks where you are going for drinks. Afterward, play rock, paper, scissors again, and the winner of the round picks where you get appetizers. See where I'm going with this? Play for every dinner course for a fun, unplanned, and memorable night.
Farmers Market
Small local businesses need your support now more than ever. The weather is lovely, so find a local farmers market and pick out fresh items to prepare a romantic meal at home. You can also enjoy a meal from a local vendor while there!
Movie in the Park
Many local parks and outdoor malls host free movies in the park during the Spring and Summer months. It's a fun and inexpensive way to ease your way back into public life, and it's a free date outside!
Hit the Hiking Trails
Hiking is always beautiful after a season of rain, with lush greenery, tons of flowers, and butterflies. It'll be a great way to be active together and enjoy the season! Social Isolation doesn't mean you are stuck in the house.
Celebrate Earth Day
Plant a tree or a garden in honor of Earth Day, or at the very least, call your local parks and see if there are volunteer activities you can join. They typically need volunteers to beautify the planet!
Go for a Bike Ride
Are you noticing a theme? Now is the perfect time to get outside. Explore your hometown on a bike, hitting all the spots you love and all the ones you've yet to see.
Go to the Zoo
Spring is an excellent time to visit the zoo! The animals are out of their indoor habitats, and it's warm enough to walk around outside for hours but not so hot as to swelter. A trip to the zoo is a great way to spend an entire day together.
Spring is the perfect time to get outside and DO stuff! The snow is gone; the flowers are blooming. After a year of being cooped up, it's time to dip your toes into rejoining the world outside your home. These Spring date ideas will help you rediscover how much you love where you live.
